Janet Jackson is coming to a city near you.
22 years ago (3/14/1995) Tupac released his third studio album Me Against The World on Amaru/Jive/Interscope Records. With production from Easy Mo Bee, Johnny J, Shock G, Stretch and others, this album would be birthed through Tupac’s incarceration for some legal problems. This is in my opinion his best album ever, the writing was on a new level as the pain that Tupac was going through and consciousness was on a high for him, I just felt this album had so much heart in it that honestly no Tupac album could ever really compare. This album also made Tupac the first rapper to be incarcerated to have a album debut at number 1 on the billboard 200. Salute to Tupac for his impact in Rap and Hip-Hop, may Tupac, Afeni Shakur and Johnny J Rest In Peace.
Starting 2017 off on a right note with soulful and meaningful music, E. Smitty links with Hip Hop veterans Sadat X & Villain for the new single, “Bubble World”.
We’ve always been true advocates when it comes to reminding producer not to touch the classics, but there is a select few that certainly earned those honors, one of them being Ohio’s Crandat. He has proven to the electronic community and his peers, he can simply do no wrong.
For this latest re-crank, he has given the iconic dance anthem “Save the World” as a bass makeover for the world to enjoy. A simple yet effective modern touch on a true classic that everyone fell in love with at one point or another.
“As a die-hard SHM fan, I feel as if I have a responsibility to resurrect their work. Save the World is one of THE greatest songs in the history of dance music. I wanted to take it and give it my own 2016 spin, but I wanted to make sure it retained the 2010-2011 dance music elements in which it was born alongside. This is my remix to Save the World by Swedish House Mafia. Happy Crankday!” – Christian
