Hopsin Threatening To Leave Funk Volume Over Issues With Co-Founder Damien Ritter

Hopsin Threatening To Leave Funk Volume Over Issues With Co-Founder Damien Ritter

Hopsin is currently having issues with Funk Volume threatening To Leave due to issues with his business partner, Damien Ritter who co-founded Funk Volume back in 2009.

This is what Hopsin had to say as he took these issues public on social media.

“F*ck Damien Ritter. This man is the death of funk volume,” Hopsin wrote.

“I’ve been having issues with my business partner Damien Ritter,” he later elaborated. “We started this whole FV sh*t years ago, but this man has all the sudden built up the courage to disrespect me and tell me I don’t work hard when I’ve made him Extremely wealthy over the years from my music. At this point, if he doesn’t leave funk volume, then I will. I’m putting it out there publicly so he knows that it’s f*ck him forever. If ur a real Hopsin fan, I need your support right now and I only hope u continue to strongly support me if/when I leave FV. My heart will always rep FV, but as of right now, it’s not home for me as long as Dame is apart of it.”

“If ur a real Hopsin fan, i hope u still f*ck with me with or without Fv,” Hopsin continued. “This isn’t something I want, it’s just something that may need to happen. I made this man VERY wealthy over the years from my music, and for him to tell me I don’t work hard at all is just flat-out disrespect.”

“Never forget the reason why u even have a little name in this business pal. My Raw vision paid u big time”

He concluded by saying the issues between him and Ritter cannot be resolved easily: “I’m sorry guys, but this situation doesn’t end with a ‘got ya’. I wish it did.”

Jayceeoh is playing NO games.

Bringing out all of his dogs (Party Favor, TJR, LooKas, TWRK, NGHTMRE, Tropkillaz) to slay absolute carnage for this exclusive 70 minute mix of high-energy tunes that will make you ooh and aah, hands clap, jump up, bounce and break your back, and your shoulders leaning from side to side.

It’s been 3 years since the last “Super 7″ mix as this one serves as a festival set of it’s own showcasing all original and upcoming talent through 10 minute power-mixes by Party Favor, TJR, LooKas, TWRK, NGHTMRE, Tropkillaz and Jayceeooh.

The series is a representation of the craft itself, and the purpose of the mix is to not only educate, but to reveal why DJs/producers are also skilled artists, creators, and overall musicians. As Jayceeoh comes full circle as a producer and turntablist alike, the acclaimed mix series now looks to bridge the gap between turntablism and electronic music with it’s first ever producer driven volume.

Jessika

Following up his first Nomad EP, Liquid Stranger continues to take us on a musical journey with the second installment of the series. Fresh from his label, Wakaan, Nomad: Volume 2 delivers a refreshing take on all genres in the form of three tracks. The opening track “Bounce,” blends the perfect combination of glitch and jazz, creating a chilled out tune fit for any occasion. The next track “Freefall,” is bit out of this realm, tuning into our emotions and using melodic effects to hit us in our hearts and heads. Lastly, Liquid Stranger wraps it up with “Zenith,” which takes on a bit of an ominous undertone utilizing angelic synths, eerie bass lines, and a harmony that is the epitome of a black and white detective film.
