“A Dirty Science Christmas”, To You. From Exile & Sirplus, an exclusive end of the year 2016 holiday season mixtape from Dirty Science Records.
Christmas has come early this year and in the form of a surprise collab mixtape from Chance The Rapper and Jeremih. While the two Chi-Town natives have had speculations of collaborations with other artists this year, no one saw this one coming. Merry Christmas Lil Mama contains nine songs utilizing Christmas jingles and Christmas themes. The intro opens up with “All The Way,” a nostalgic modern-day spin on “Jingle Bells,” with a guest chat from Hannibal Buress. The rest of the mixtape follows with some playful tracks like “Stranger At The Table,” which has that seasonal sound, but Jeremih and Chance use the Jackson 5, “Want You Back” cadence. They also throw in a dope spin-off of “Carol Of The Bells,” with an ode to their hometown on “Chi-Town Christmas.” Peep the mixtape below and Merry Christmas.
