Being From South Carolina, how do you feel about the current state of Southern Hip Hop? Any artists other than yourself you feel that stands out?

Honestly & personally I feel that south Carolina is not acknowledge in the southern culture of hip hop not really a Market, media only mentions news mostly. A lot of us have our own lane really in a way for us to stand out. I spend most of my time out of SC expanding my options but southern hip hop in its self has grew tremendously, even though a few of us are original there’s a wide variety of opportunities that most southern artists are grasping you could say we’ve turned to hell of risk takers.

Congrats on success of your latest Mixtape, “Supplicatory” . Feel free to breakdown the creative process of the project. (features, production, etc). Where can people find the project?

Thanks. Supplicatory mixtape is an EP which features artist Branddo from Tennessee, and Mugga Man from South Carolina I feel this Mixtape describes my life, my past and my future. It shows the growth in me as an artist but it all goes down to how humble I am when it comes to my music Production from Ric&Thad music. To the industry its a demo to tell who I am. You can find this tape mostly on all indie hiphop sites but you can Stream & Download it at my official website www.RoyMillerMusic.com

To finish school, and practice your skills everyday for the rest of your life. Never stop and invest in yourself as much as you can. Don’t ever get discourage have faith in due time you’ll start to see success. I believe in you.

How does social media playing a role in promoting your music? How are fans / supporters helping the movement?

Social media plays a big role in promoting my music, tons of opportunities where i can engage with my fans not just only music but on a personal level as well. My fans / supporters help my movement by sharing different content from off of my social sites regularly, and I thank them for that.

Our most important question: what’s your definition of “underground hip hop”?

Underground hip hop is the new majors if you ask me home of the indies. Music that has its own virtual world the same as the Majors. With little of commercial music.

Mixtape Review: Roy Miller – “Supplicatory”

Roy Miller is a talented rapper, actor & songwriter who just came out with his latest project “Supplicatory“, this Mixtape is for all the Real people out there.  This Mixtape has 10 solid tracks with beats that are some of the best, he dominates in the trap southern style of rap, all of the songs on this project are true BANGERS.  “Boss Bitch” is a perfect example of the perfection Roy Millers offers in the game.  He also has that true lyrical underground style that all the real Hip Hop heads would respect and appreciate.

“Back N Da Days” is another example of a great song.  The story, delivery, hook and beat was amazing!  He is true talent in our book.  Roy Miller is paving the way for fresh Hip Hop allowing his music to speak for itself.  This Mixtape is a must download for all the real fans out there.

“Traffic” Ft. Mugga” is probably the HARDEST track on this project!!! Great Song!!
