Insomniac’s Night Owl Radio Reveals EDC 2017 Lineup
Mikaela

Another year has come and gone, and it’s nearly time to make the journey back to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the legendary Electric Daisy Carnival. Set for June 16-18, the festival won’t take place for another 50 days, but Pasquale Rotella has decided to treat us a little early this year. Usually released in May, the 2017 lineup has been revealed tonight on Insomniac’s Night Owl Radio show and, as expected, it was more than worth the wait. Stacked with names coming from all genres, headliners are in for one extraordinary weekend. Here are some of the names you can expect to see rock the stages at EDC LV this June:

NGHTMRE, Dillon Francis, Louis The Child, Getter, MIJA, Green Velvet, Gareth Emery, Markus Schulz, Kutski & Audiofreq, Griz, Flux Pavilion, Borgore, Boombox Cartel, QUIX, Alesso, Oliver Heldens, Zedd, RL Grime, Martin Garrix, GTA, Marshmello, and Porter& Madeon (surpise Shelter finale?)

Ever the tease, Pasquale Rotella ended Night Owl Radio with the promise of a special announcement tomorrow. Better stay tuned . . .

Movement Unleashes A Massive Phase 1 Lineup

Movement Unleashes A Massive Phase 1 Lineup
Chad Hirsch

House music fans get ready as the mecca of festivals has just released it’s initial lineup. Movement Electronic Music Festival which takes place every Memorial Day Weekend in Detroit started off their artist announcements properly by name dropping headliner Carl Cox among a vast variety of other artists. There’s some hip hop with Detroit native Danny Brown and one of my personal favorites Earl Sweatshirt. Other standouts are the Teklife’s DJ Spinn and DJ Taye, Shiba San, and the ever so groovy Jamie Jones. While this is only phase one, I can’t imagine what they’ve got in store for phases 2 and 3. After last year’s Kraftwerk 3D set, this year will surely be out of this world. You can find all of your information including where to get tickets here.

Decadence NYE Continues To Flourish, Delivers Yet Another Star Studded Lineup

Decadence NYE Continues To Flourish, Delivers Yet Another Star Studded Lineup
Evan Walters

Year after year I find myself with countless options when it comes to dope places to bring in the New Year. Everyone is always on their A-game because they know the masses are looking to get out and celebrate. I can think of at least three festivals off the top not called Decadence that have been putting on amazing NYE parties the past few years. However, when all things are considered I still only see one clear cut winner and that is definitely Decadence.

The lineup is always up there with the best and this year is no different. Off jump a few things really stand out to me: the return of Bassnectar, the coloration of Eric Prydz/Flume posters and of course RL Grime vs Baauer. I’m not super surprised that Bassnectar is back in Denver; last year he killed it before jetting to Birmingham for his annual gig and he always gets mad love out there. I just want to see what the man has in store because it’s always a treat watching him work and it seems he has a way of changing the whole feel of the festival. This could just be pure speculation but I do find it odd that Eric Prydz and Flume are the only ones with different posters. Last year Deadmau5 brought his own stage production so maybe Prydz and Flume have been granted some leeway to do more with their set? It would be a real treat to catch that “Epic 4.0” live show for those who haven’t caught Prydz on tour. Then you have RL Grime vs Baauer and this is just something that I’ve never seen before but feel like I’ve dreamed about. The two separate from each other put on dirty shows so I can’t imagine them in a planned b2b; this is a must see!

Of course those guys aren’t the only reason you should make your way to Decadence this December. Huge acts like Griz, The Chainsmokers, Zeds Dead, Disclosure, Marshmello and many more will be in the building as well to make sure your experience is nothing short of phenomenal. Not to mention the tickets are reasonably priced and the Colorado Convention Center is something you have to see in person to fully understand. We are still a couple of months out so there is time but don’t sleep on this! Check out their socials for updates, I’m convinced they will have more big news coming soon.

Lights All Night Announces Lineup And Expansion To El Paso

Lights All Night Announces Lineup And Expansion To El Paso
Alejandro Vega

The annual Dallas New Year’s festival Lights All Night has announced 6 of their headliners. Among those are Above & Beyond, A$ AP Ferg, Deadmau5, Nero, RL Grime and Zedd. They have also expanded out to El Paso (because #ElPasoKnowsHowToParty) for New Year’s Eve and will have Deadmau5 and RL Grime as their headliners. LAN will announce the rest of both lineups later this year but have already done a stellar job with these acts on the bill.

“We are excited to host some of the hottest electronic acts in music, in two locations over NYE weekend. Expanding the brand to El Paso has been a goal for us-it’s a huge hub of music, culture and arts, we’ve had our eye on it for a while now. Our mission is to provide a spectacular New Year’s Eve experience for the patrons. We are excited to give our west Texas and central America fans their own piece of Lights All Night to experience. We anticipate this being the first of other new markets for Lights All Night in 2017 and beyond,” says organizers Scott Osburn and Hank Keller of Dallas-based Highland Concerts.

From state of the art production surrounding the biggest names in electronic music today to specialty food trucks for a unique dining experience as well as signature experiential elements, fans can expect all points of attending LAN in Dallas and El Paso to be top-notch.

Tickets for the Dallas event are available now and tickets for El Paso will go on sale on June 10th. This has always been a fun festival to go to so get your tickets at the best price before they go up!

This year’s first wave is no exception. With Odesza headlining Friday, Bassnectar Saturday and Zedd on Sunday, there’s a lot of talent between those three acts. The sub-headliners also boast impressive talent as well, from Action Bronson and Sleigh Bells to Galantis and Zomboy. The Governor’s Ball Releases Daily Lineup

The Governor’s Ball Releases Daily Lineup
Alex Prevey

This year’s Governor’s Ball is set to be one of the premiere events in the Northeast, showcasing a wide variety of artists and featuring headliners The Strokes, The Killers, and Kanye West. With the release of the festival’s day-by-day lineup it appears that they have switched their theme from last year with the placing of hip-hop headliner, Kanye West, as the festival’s closing act. The artist, who is set to release his newest album this month, has a lot to live up to after last year’s hip-hop headliner Drake delivered an incredible performance to close out night one. The three day event on New York City’s own Governor’s Island is set to kick off June 3rd to the 5th and are planning on selling day tickets to the event available Thursday, February 9th at 10:00 am EST. All three days offer a compelling variety of artists so make sure to tune in Thursday to score tickets to your favorite day!
