Splash House is set to return for its 5th anniversary in Palm Springs, California. Taking place over two weekends on June 9-11 and August 11-13, you have no excuse to miss this Summer festival staple!
Splash House is a festival unlike anything you have experienced before. Housed in three hotels, The Renaissance, The Riviera, and The Saguaro, music and dancing starts early in the morning for an all-day soiree.
At Splash House, getting to and from the festival has never been easier. A short walk from your hotel room leads you to the ultimate pool oasis; however, it doesn’t end there. Shuttles filled with air conditioning and water conveniently take all attendees from pool-to-pool. Groovin’ on the go means you’ll never have to worry about stalling the fun.
A beautiful desert environment that’s topped off with phenomenal musical performances from your favorite DJs – what more can you ask for? Headliners for June’s weekend includes Bonobo, Hot Chip, and Thomas Jack while August’s headliners are Big Gigantic, Kaytranada, and totally Enourmous Extinct Dinosaurs. Picking which weekend to attend is definitely going to be a struggle.
Tickets are on-sale now. Guests must be 21+. General Admission tickets are $ 135; After Hours tickets start at $ 40. Travel Packages available starting at $ 220 per person; all packages include weekend tickets and 3-night hotel accommodations.

Another day another summertime yam. Out on Deep Cntrl, rising 17 year-old producer Imad released his subtle deep house spin on Australian duo Vallis Alps’ track “Young”. Remixing an already popular indie song is not the easiest task to take on but Imad was able to transform “Young” into an ideal house tune.
So far Imad has only released remixes but he’s proving his production skills and ability to turn the calmest songs into quite the banger. He has remixed tracks for artists of all different genres ranging from John Newman to Foster ThePeople. After “Young” reached #4 on the Souncloud house charts, Imad was on our radar and we couldn’t stop listening. Vallis Alps’ vocals mixed with Imad’s beat is pretty intoxicating and creates a really beautiful track. We might have a future Kygo here so be sure to check out “Young” below!

This week has been insanely full of new music. With all of the exciting releases, Just a Gent’s new collab with smle “Leave It All” ft. Calica surely did not go unnoticed. We love Just a Gent’s whole vibe. From his very “gentlemanly” signature suit uniform to his mantra “just your everyday gentleman making your not so everyday dance music” we are for sure Just a Gent fangirls.
“Leave It All” is one of the first releases from Just a Gent after his successful EP Stories to Tell. He teamed up with smle & Calica to create a dreamy future house tune. The track which is topped by Calica’s angelic vocals, starts off very light and airy but then gets a little trappy once the beat drops..which we’re not mad about. We’re hoping for more collabs from this dream team asap. Check out “Leave It All” below!

LA producer Bricks makes groovy bass-heavy House tunes. His latest is called Get Right and will blow your speakers up if you’re not careful with the volume. I got the chance to do a small interview about how he got his name, his inspirations, goals and how he got into electronic music.
TSS: How did your construction job influence you starting the alias?
B: When coming up with my brand, I wanted to keep it authentic. I wanted something that described me as a person and as a producer. So to accomplish that, my lady and I sat down and wrote down words that described me, or words that had to do with construction. She had written down the word Bricks, and it just clicked. Even though I’m a commercial plumber, not a brick layer, something about the word resonated with me. Bricks is blue-collar, hard working, resilient, strong, determined and of course red, lol.
TSS: Who are your main influences that inspired Bricks?
B: A few tracks that have influenced my break style were Afrika Bambaataa – Planet Rock, Afro-Rican – Give it All You Get, Freestyle – Don’t Stop the Rock, Newcleus – Jam on it, Al-Naafyish – Time, Cybotron – Clear, Herbie Hancock – Rock It and Egyptian Lover – Egypt Egypt. Those are just a few of my favorites and to this day are still great songs. When it comes to that 80’s sound that I love so much, that came straight from watching Tron, the original. Daft Punk did an amazing job with Tron: Legacy, but he OG is still where it’s at for me.
TSS: How will 2017 be different than 2016 for you?
B:2016 was a great year for me cause I was able to finally come out with the Bricks brand. A lot of great opportunities came my way, like signing with Indie Pop management and AM Only. This year, I plan on growing this brand out to the masses. I feel good about this year already. After releasing ‘Get Right’ last week, I am going to release a remix I did for a big artist and another original track a couple weeks after that. I’m working on putting out more music and I hope everyone keeps showing the love.
TSS: What got you into electronic music?
B: I got into the rave scene early with my boy Matt when we were around 17 years old. We’d drive to some sketchy parts of Southern California just to listen to some Hard House. That was fun to just go crazy and have fun, but what really got me hooked was when I heard a track called Launch by DJ Jean for the first time. From that point on, I was hooked. My taste in Electronic Music has grown since then to include a lot of different sub-genres in the EDM world. I listen to everything from House to Drum n Bass and I truly appreciate every genre.

While festival lineups continued to be released almost every other day, it looks like we might have our first festival anthem on our hands. This track may have already been in heavy rotation especially during Diplo and Autoerotique‘s most recent sets, but today their collaboration “Waist Time” has been officially released.
With that clever title some would think this would be a twerktastic that we’ve seen from Diplo time and time again, but that most certainly isn’t the case. This bad boy falls into the category of bass house Check it out!

We’ve always been true advocates when it comes to reminding producer not to touch the classics, but there is a select few that certainly earned those honors, one of them being Ohio’s Crandat. He has proven to the electronic community and his peers, he can simply do no wrong.
For this latest re-crank, he has given the iconic dance anthem “Save the World” as a bass makeover for the world to enjoy. A simple yet effective modern touch on a true classic that everyone fell in love with at one point or another.
“As a die-hard SHM fan, I feel as if I have a responsibility to resurrect their work. Save the World is one of THE greatest songs in the history of dance music. I wanted to take it and give it my own 2016 spin, but I wanted to make sure it retained the 2010-2011 dance music elements in which it was born alongside. This is my remix to Save the World by Swedish House Mafia. Happy Crankday!” – Christian
